Itla’s operations consist of three operating entities – Early Intervention, Collective Impact and Leadership Training – as well as the “From the Same Line – solutions for poverty among families with children” programme.
In addition, we are involved in various cooperation and research projects.
We produce and refine information on the wellbeing of children, young people and families, as well as communicate and discuss wellbeing issues.
Early Intervention
Expertise in evaluating and implementing psychosocial methods. We produce evidence-based information on the effectiveness of psychosocial methods. We evaluate methods, that is, interventions, and support the implementation of methods that have been proven to be effective.
Collective impact
We support the reform of activities that increase the wellbeing of children, young people and families through research. The aim is to increase the coping of children, young people and families with children and to build a smooth everyday life. Itla carries out collective impact work together with the University of Oulu.
Leadership training
We are renewing the leadership skills that promote the wellbeing of children, young people and families. With our Childhood Builders leadership training progammes, we strengthen people-oriented and meta-skilful leadership, the building of cross-sectoral ecosystems, inclusiveness and the capacity for renewal.
“From the Same Line – solutions for poverty among families with children” programme
We refine research data as a basis for decision-making, initiate trials and strengthen cooperation. The research and development programme produces research data on poverty among families with children as a basis for decision-making, initiates trials and strengthens cooperation between researchers and operators in the field.
Projects
Itla has several research and development projects, such as the project for national implementation competence to support the growth of children and young people (Early Intervention KI). We are also involved in the PANDEMICS and YOUNG programmes funded by the Strategic Research Council.
Collaboration
Itla has donated two professorships to the Universities of Oulu and Tampere. We participate in various networks, working groups and joint implementations.
